I love pin ups. I love everything about my grandparents’ “glory days”. Pin ups are part of those staple goods of the 30s-50s.

ROMA…ROMAMA…ROMA…ROMAMA

Andiamo a Roma pronto! (Let’s go to Rome, now!) I am in love with my vintage map of Roma that I found today while out with my PIC (partner in crime). We both found some amazing things, as well as our new favorite spot in Detroit. I almost don’t want to share where it is because I don’t want this place to become an over populated, picked over joint. But I also feel that it has been around forever, so if it was going to be over populated and picked over, it would have already happened. I will remain silent, til our next adventure there.

This edition, I want to guess was printed circa 50s-60s, has amazing portability that turns into a fairly big street map of Rome. I opened it once, and don’t want to open it much more, for the fact that the seams are cracking into clean lines. This beauty was “Made in Germany”, and features Italian, French, German and English translations.

I can not wait til our next 4+ hour adventure to this magical place.
